Artists
Audiobaum as a label is taking a creative pause, but our favorite artists aren’t.
Jolea
Jolea is a Helsinki-based artist who skillfully intertwines electronic and classical music elements in her compositions. With sampled instruments and field recordings, she crafts dark, emotive and melancholic soundscapes that seamlessly blend into captivating musical pieces.
Jolea released her debut EP “Ghostly Figures” in 2009 on her own Audiobaum label, and after numerous experimental pop records, her sound began to evolve into a more emotional, cinematic direction, especially with the concept album “Atlas” (2020).
The latest opus from Jolea, the dark-toned full-length album titled “Grand Nada,” was unveiled in November 2023. This conceptual album delves into the profound themes of life’s meaninglessness and the quest for significance. The album takes the listener on a sonic odyssey through various places, memories, and emotions, reflecting on the past while gazing forward into the future. “Grand Nada” is a deep exploration of thoughts and emotions, offering a musical contemplation of the profound dimensions of life. Her upcoming release, “Omniscient Ioanna,” is currently in the works and set to be unveiled in 2025.

Recue
Recue is the creative outlet and an excuse for a Helsinki based producer Riku Annala to spend time in his studio exploring the left field of electronic music. Something that started, and still is, based on pure interest in sound design and music production has resulted in various releases, remixes, collaborations, commissioned production and live performances. Recue’s output ranges from studio experimentations and conceptual soundscapes to more dancefloor focused sound. This has allowed his music to be featured on labels ranging from multifaceted to genre focused ones, as a backdrop for TV, theatre and live venues of all shapes and sizes.
